SAT–ACT Score Concordance

How we compare scores across the SAT, ACT, and PSAT when applying the guarantee.

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. What this is

A score concordance is a table that lets you compare scores across different tests. Bullseye Prep LLC uses the official College Board / ACT, Inc. concordance to:

  • Convert ACT or PSAT scores into SAT-equivalent scores when applying the 200-point SAT score guarantee
  • Compare a student's starting score (if it's an ACT or PSAT) to their ending SAT score

2. Source

This concordance is based on the official 2018 SAT–ACT concordance jointly published by the College Board and ACT, Inc., updated where applicable for the Digital SAT (2024). It is the same concordance used by colleges and admissions offices.

3. Concordance table

Read the table as: an SAT total score in the left column is approximately equivalent to the ACT composite score in the right column.

4. PSAT

PSAT scores are scaled on the same range as the SAT (320–1520), so a PSAT score can be read directly against the SAT column above. There is no separate PSAT-to-ACT conversion — PSAT to SAT-equivalent is a 1:1 reading.

5. How we use this for the guarantee

If a student's starting score is an ACT, we convert it to the SAT-equivalent using this table. The final score must be from an official SAT taken after the course (regardless of which test the starting score was from). The 200-point improvement is then measured on the SAT scale.

Example: a student's starting ACT composite is 24 (≈ SAT 1190 – 1210). For the guarantee to be met, the final official SAT must be at least 1390 – 1410.
