Refund & Guarantee Policy

The 200-point SAT score guarantee, in plain English. Plus refund terms for every course we sell.

1. Overview

This page covers our 200-point SAT score guarantee, refund eligibility for each course we offer, and how to request a refund. The guarantee is generous but specific — please read carefully.

2. The 200-point SAT score guarantee

We guarantee a 200-point increase on your official SAT score after completing the Bullseye Prep SAT Course. If you complete the requirements below and your score doesn't increase by at least 200 points, you get a full refund of tuition.

This guarantee applies only to the SAT Course (the six-week cohort). It does not apply to 1-on-1 Tutoring or the SAT Weekend Bootcamp.

3. How we calculate the score increase

  1. 3.1

    To calculate the score increase, a student must submit an official SAT score report from before the course started and another score report from after the course ended. Score reports must be submitted in their original, unaltered form as issued by the College Board. Bullseye Prep reserves the right to reject any submission that does not appear to be an authentic, original score report.

  2. 3.2

    The starting score can be from any SAT test taken before the course starts.

  3. 3.3

    The score report from after the course must be from the first available SAT after the course ends.

  4. 3.4

    If a student has not taken the SAT yet, an ACT or PSAT can be used in place of the starting SAT, if taken within the six months prior to the start of the course. Scores from the ACT or PSAT are converted to SAT-equivalent scores using the official concordance — see SAT–ACT Concordance.

4. Requirements for the guarantee

To be eligible for a refund under the guarantee, a student must meet all of the following:

  1. 4.1

    Complete all required work. Students must complete all work required by the course and turn it in by the required deadline. All student work must show a good-faith effort to count as complete. For instance, if a student simply guesses on a multiple-choice SAT test, this will be fairly obvious and will not count as a completed assignment.

  2. 4.2

    Attendance: 90% of class time. Students must attend at least 90 percent of the class time in each course, as measured in minutes. Students must sign in to class using the username assigned by Bullseye Prep.

  3. 4.3

    Active engagement: 90% poll participation. Students must be actively engaged during each lesson. Instructors will ask students questions in the form of polls during each class, and students must answer at least 90 percent of these polls.

5. Score ceiling: 1480

We guarantee scores up to a 1480 on the SAT. If a student's starting score is higher than 1280, the highest we guarantee is still a 1480.

Example: a student with a starting score of 1350 is guaranteed a final score of at least 1480 (not 1550) under this policy.

6. How to claim a refund under the guarantee

Email hello@bullseyeprep.com with:

  • Your name and the cohort you completed
  • Your starting and final official SAT score reports (PDFs from the College Board)
  • A short note that you would like to claim the score-guarantee refund

We will verify your requirements were met and process the refund within 14 business days. Refunds go to the original payment method.

7. 1-on-1 Tutoring refund policy

Private 1-on-1 Tutoring sessions that have already been delivered are non-refundable. For prepaid hour packages, any unused hours are refundable within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, prepaid hours are non-refundable and remain available for use for up to 12 months from the purchase date. The 200-point score guarantee does not apply to 1-on-1 Tutoring.

8. SAT Weekend Bootcamp refund policy

  • Full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the bootcamp weekend.
  • 50% refund if you cancel within 7 days of the bootcamp weekend.
  • No refund once the bootcamp weekend has started.

Refund requests for the Bootcamp must be sent to hello@bullseyeprep.com. The 200-point score guarantee does not apply to the Bootcamp.

9. ACT Course

The ACT Course is in development and not yet available for purchase. A waitlist is open at /courses/act. A 4-point ACT score guarantee will apply when the course launches; details will be posted here at that time.
